Data Management Resources for Performance-Based Contract

HIV Care Services held a working session on data management for performance-based contracting on June 5, 2009. This session, which was initiated by a recommendation from contractors at the September 2008 working session on performance-based contracting, was a forum for Ryan White and Prevention contractors to share their data quality assurance tools, operational processes and best practices for submitting data for reimbursement.

AIDS Institute

The AIDS Institute provides leadership to alleviate the human toll of the HIV/AIDS epidemic through programs, policies and partnerships that exemplify compassion and empower individuals, communities and institutions.

HOPWA

The Housing Opportunities for Persons with HIV/AIDS (HOPWA) program ensures that all HUD programs and initiatives are responsive to the special needs of people with HIV/AIDS.

HOPWA funding provides housing assistance and related supportive services and for people living with HIV/AIDS. HOPWA funds may be used for a wide range of housing, social services, program planning, and development costs. These include, but are not limited to, the acquisition, rehabilitation, or new construction of housing units; costs for facility operations; rental assistance; and short-term payments to prevent homelessness. HOPWA funds also may be used for health care and mental health services, chemical dependency treatment, nutritional services, case management, assistance with daily living, and other supportive services.

HASA

The HIV/AIDS Services Administration’s (HASA) mission is to expedite access to essential benefits and social services needed by persons living with AIDS or clinical symptomatic HIV illness and their families.

ADAP (AIDS Drug Assistance Program for Medications)

The AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) provides free medications for the treatment of HIV/AIDS and opportunistic infections. The drugs provided through ADAP can help people with HIV/AIDS to live longer and treat the symptoms of HIV infection.

ADAP Plus (Medications and Primary Medical Care)

ADAP Plus is a program that helps HIV-positive people get medications, medical care and home care that they need for free. ADAP Plus pays for care for HIV-positive people who can't get Medicaid, or who are waiting for Medicaid approval.

Medicaid

Medicaid is a program for New Yorkers who can't afford to pay for their medical care. Certain requirements are necessary for individuals to be eligible to receive Medicaid.
